How Fast Is Fast When You Want To Sell Your House Fast?

When you want to sell your house fast, what is the fastest way to do it? For anyone in a serious rush, this is conundrum. Who would buy your house faster than, say, six months? Three months? One month? A week? Well, there are certainly some ways and some buyers that can make this happen.

Real Estate Agents

This could go one of two ways. Either you have real estate agents who will buy your house outright in less than two weeks, or you have agents who guarantee to sell your house in under "x" number of months or they will buy it and take over the selling from there. It just depends on how fast you need to sell it. If you have to be gone in under a month, sell it to agents who are snapping up properties left and right and signing deals in just a couple of weeks. If you have one to six months to sell and get out, find the agents who guarantee to sell it for you in that time frame or buy it themselves.

Auction

An auction is another way to sell a house fast. You do have to arrange for an auction date and time, and pay an auctioneer for his/her services. Sometimes the auctioneers/auction company will also pay for local advertising to help get people to come to the auction. At other times, you may have to place an ad yourself. Either way, you could sell the house via auction within a week or two, and be out about a week after that, or whenever you can transfer the property into the hands of the auction winners.

Sell the Property to the County

In some counties and states, you may be able to sell your property directly to the county government. This is especially true if your home borders on government land already, and you think the county could use it to expand. It is also true of any property that is considered highly valuable because of its natural resources or highly fertile land. This may take a couple of weeks to a couple of months, so if you have to get out sooner, have a backup plan.

Sell the Property to Housing Charities

Certain well-known housing charities frequently buy up properties to renovate into low-income housing. They may tear down your house and rebuild, or they may just use the property in their programs to create even nicer dwellings for those that are homeless or need more affordable houses. Either way, you get out of the house and someone else gets a nice property through the charity. The whole process takes about a month or two.
