Pre-Qualify 

One of the first thing that you want to do before you start looking at homes is talk with a lender about getting pre-qualified for a home loan. You may be wondering if you can even buy a home, and it is good to have this peace of mind. In order to pre-qualify for a home loan the lender is going to need your pay stubs for the last few months, tax returns for the past two years, and then your credit score. With this information, the lender will be able to tell you how big a loan you can qualify for. 

Realtor

One of the best moves that you can make is using a great real estate agent. First, the real estate agent is going to be able to give you access to any home that is on the market. They will have the complete list of homes that meet your budget and criteria. However, you may find that the realtor is most helpful when it comes to all the paperwork. Something as simple as putting in an offer can be a little tricky at times, and the realtor can help you with the paperwork through the entire home buying process up until closing.
